The Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Course at DMS Care Training Center provides comprehensive training in clinical and administrative medical skills. Students learn patient care, phlebotomy, EKG, and medical documentation to prepare for the national CCMA certification exam.

Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Course – National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
The Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Course at DMS Care Training Center prepares students to perform both clinical and administrative duties in healthcare settings across America. Balance both patient care and administrative tasks—document vital signs, prepare patients for exams, collect blood samples, administer injections, and support providers with clinical and front-desk duties.
Program Goal – Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Course
To prepare students to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and gain entry-level employment in medical clinics, urgent care, and other outpatient settings.
Length of Program
- 4–6 months (self-paced)
- Includes 2 days of school lab practice (Injection, Phlebotomy, EKG)
- Externship is optional (32–40 hours)
Tuition
- Tuition: $3,100 (Registration fee $50 not included)
- Student CPR (AHA BLS): For DMS students, $65 (required separately)

- No federal financial aid (non-Title IV school)
*Tuition includes supply fees, a textbook and course materials. Navy scrubs are required for skill lab. CPR certification is required before graduation.
Korean Language Support

CCMA Course Admission Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Valid ID (State-issued, Passport, Green Card, or Driver’s License)
- High School Diploma, GED, or expected graduation within 12 months
- No immunizations required
- Scrubs required for skill lab and class – Navy (dark blue)
- CPR certification required before graduation
CCMA Skill Practice Schedule
- Students can begin anytime
- Attend skill labs while enrolled in the online course
- Students manage their own schedule and progress
- Must complete 2 days of medical assistant lab training

CCMA Clinical Practice Schedule (Externship)

We recommend students complete a one-week Clinical Practice (Externship), consisting of 32–40 hours of hands-on experience at affiliated clinics. The exact schedule can be discussed with your instructor.
Students who live in North Texas may train at local partner clinics, while those in other states may complete their externship at approved facilities near their home.
After completing the course, students will be eligible to take the NHA CCMA certification exam.
