Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate Course
Earn your Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate to provide essential personal care and daily living support in home health agencies, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care facilities.
With an aging population and increased demand for in-home care, HHA professionals are highly valued. This role is focusing on patient comfort, safety, and dignity.
What You’ll Do as a Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities (bathing, feeding, mobility)
- Measure and observe vital signs
- Support basic exercise, mobility, and positioning
- Prepare simple meals and assist with nutrition
- Provide a safe environment and infection control
- Communicate with patients and families
HHA Course Format
Program Length: 75 hours (Hybrid: 60 hours online + 15 hours in-person lab)
Duration: 3 weeks
Hands-On Lab: 2 in-person lab days with practical training
After completing the course, you will receive the DMS Certificate of Completion – Home Health Aide (HHA).
Admission Requirements
- Age 18+ (or 17 with parental consent)
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Green Card)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Background check required
- Scrubs (navy) and closed-toe/heel shoes required for lab
- AHA BLS (CPR) required before graduation (discount available for DMS students; see Tuition)

Total Program Cost: $1,000 (includes tuition, lab fees, books/materials, supplies, liability insurance)

- Payment plans available—split into 2 or 3 payments
- DMS is not Title IV approved; federal financial aid is not available
*Tuition includes online coursework, lab supplies, and liability insurance. Students must purchase their own scrubs (navy color) for lab sessions.
AHA BLS (CPR) for DMS students: discounted to $65 and includes both Online pre-course and skills session.
