Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

Balance both patient care and administrative tasks. As a medical assistant, you’ll document vital signs, prepare patients for exams, collect blood samples, administer injections, and support providers with clinical and front-desk duties.

Program Goal

To prepare students to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and gain entry-level employment in medical clinics, urgent care, and other outpatient settings.

Length of Program

  • 4 -6 months (self-paced)
  • Includes 2 days of school lab practice (Injection, Phlebotomy and EKG)
  • Externship is optional ($400, 2 weeks – at Partnered Healthcare Facility in North Texas)

  • Student CPR (AHA BLS): $65 (required separately)

  • Payment plans available (split into 2–3 payments)
  • No federal financial aid (non-Title IV school)

*Tuition includes supply fees, a textbook and course materials. Students are required to wear navy scrubs for a skill lab. CPR certification is required before graduation.

Korean Language Support

Admission Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Valid ID (State-issued, Passport, Green Card, or Driver’s License)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or expected graduation within 12 months
  • No immunizations required
  • Scrubs not required — casual dress allowed
  • CPR certification required before graduation

Skill Practice Schedule

  • Students can begin anytime
  • Attend skill labs while enrolled in online course
  • Students manage their own schedule and progress
  • Must complete 4 days of medical assistant lab training
  • Each day represents a color-coded skill module (Yellow, Red, Green, Blue)
