A Phlebotomy technician is a critical team member in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and blood donor centers. As new types of tests are developed and laboratory tech positions grow, it’s a fascinating time to begin a career in this thriving field.

TUITION: $1480

The tuition fee covers all essential costs, including online course tuition, clinical training fees, a textbook and necessary class materials. Students must purchase navy-colored scrubs separately for clinical training. The BLS certification is not included and must be obtained separately.

 

PROGRAM DURATION:

12 weeks long, with 120 hours of instruction. 100 hours of online course and 20 hours of clinical practice (40 blood draws from Mannequin & Human).

Phlebotomy Technician Program Overview

This program focuses on blood collection procedures, safety protocols, and lab professionalism.

Online Learning

Blood Draw Lab (40 required draws)

  • Every Friday| 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Every Saturday | 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Location: DMS Care Training Campus

Admission Requirements

  • Must be 17 years or older.
  • State-issued ID, passport, green card, or driver’s license.
  • Social Security card.
  • High school diploma or GED (or graduating within 12 months).
  • No immunizations required.
  • Navy scrubs required for lab sessions.

Students will take the Certification Exam (NHA, CPT) after completing the course.
