Texas CNA Course – Accredited by THHS and TWC
Program Overview
Certified Nurse Assistants provide direct patient care and assist with daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse. CNAs are essential in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities—making this course an ideal path into the healthcare field.
DMS Care Training Center is an accredited training provider approved by THHS and TWC and is officially recognized as a Texas NATCEP (Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program).

Texas CNA Certification Program Duration
- Total Hours: 100 hours
- 60 hours online instruction + 2 days of school lab
- 40 hours of supervised clinical practice
- Format: Hybrid (online + in-person)
Admission Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Valid ID (State ID, Passport, Green Card, or Driver’s License)
- Social Security card
- High school diploma, GED, or transcript (U.S. or international)
- Can be waived with proof of 8th-grade reading/writing level
- Vaccination record for clinical externship
Additional Requirements
- Navy-colored scrubs
- Closed-toe/closed-heel shoes (for clinicals)
- CPR Certificate (AHA BLS) – required before clinicals

Weekday Program: Online + 2 lab days + 5 clinical days
- Lab: Tuesday & Thursday | 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Clinical: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Weekend Program: Online + 2 lab days + 5 clinical days

- Clinical: Saturday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Exam & Certification
Upon completion of the course, students are eligible to take the Texas CNA Certification Exam.
DMS Care Training Center is an official CNA Certification Exam (Testing) Site approved by the state of Texas.
Students will receive access to schedule their exam through the TULIP portal and take the exam onsite at our school or at a Prometric Testing Center.
